President's letter 2017
At the end of 2017 I send you my best season ́s greetings and wish you a happy, healthy and successful New Year. In 2018, we shall have the 29th CECE as most important event for our society. The conference is organized by our dear colleague Julian Dow in Glasgow, United Kingdom and will be held from August19th to 23rd (see https://cece2018.org/) at the beautiful campus of the historic University of Glasgow. We all look forward to a stimulating scientific programme with eight prominent plenary speakers (see https://cece2018.org/speakers/) and varied social programme with Scottish flavor. The CECE 2018 will cover important and timely aspects of comparative endocrinology and will provide a unique opportunity to present and discuss results and concepts with colleagues from all over the world. Your contribution to CECE 2018 is warmly welcomed.
Please note that a reduced CECE registration fee (see https://cece2018.org/registration-new/) will be offered all members of the European Society for Comparative Endocrinology (ESCE) who have paid their ESCE membership fee for the years 2018 and 2019 four weeks before they register. Furthermore, only those students will be eligible for travel grants who are ESCE members and who work in laboratories of ESCE members with a paid membership status. Thus, you and your laboratory will benefit from ESCE membership. Membership fees are inexpensive (45€/2 years for advanced researchers and 28€/2years for students). Membership fees should be transferred in Euro to the ESCE bank account:
Europäische Gesellschaft für Vergleichende Endokrinologie, UBS Zürich
IBAN CH58 0022 5225 1013 8640 R
BIC UBSWCHZH80AXXXX.
So, please join the ESCE and attend the CECE 2018.
Looking forward to seeing you all in Glasgow I remain with my best wishes
Yours cordially

Horst-Werner Korf
ESCE-President
